Starting the Garden

We planted all of our seeds for our summer garden in our window greenhouses yesterday.

These are the seeds that Jayden picked out, he really wanted to grow pumpkins.   I'm not sure, but I think he thinks these pumpkins are going to grow with faces in them. :)

Jayden then took all of our extra seeds and put them in separate dixie cups to save them.  So, now I have all these little cups and I don't know what most of the seeds in them are.  :)   We can't wait for our little plants to start growing and producing things!

In the Doghouse

If you can't find Willow around the house, most likely you can find her here, in "Sam's room", reading books to the dog.

Bowling

We have been cooped up in this house for pretty much the past 3 weeks.  The kids were sick, but now they are finally getting better on antibiotics.  I started getting really sick last weekend, got some antibiotics on Monday, but have not been 100% all week. I keep taking naps, if that says anything!  I started a different antibiotic today and am hopeful that they will finally help me get over this bug.

So, since we are so sick of being in the house, we decided to take the kids bowling with a few friends.  Holy smokes, you could tell the kids hadn't been out to do much lately because they were out. of. control.  They were all over the place, doing things they shouldn't of, jumping off the chairs, punching buttons on the bowling computer, trying to pick up 15lb balls and run with them, wrestling and punching with their friends.  I was so busy trying to keep them somewhat focused and in-line that I hardly got any pictures of them.  I didn't even get a picture of Willow with her bowling shoes on, shoes she loved so much, she cried when we had to give them back.

Kid Quote :: 14

Tonight as Royal, Jayden, and Willow were preparing to engage in an exciting game of Chase, Royal says to Jayden, "Ok, buddy, what are the rules of Chase?"  (we've had trouble in the past with people being too rough and someone getting hurt - Royal included.  He's been downed plenty of times with a strategically placed punch)

Jayden responds : No hitting, no pushing.....no throwing little kids in the fire, or putting them in lanterns

More Painting

I will apologize now for the lack of pictures of the kids lately.  But you see, the kids have been deathly ill for the past 2 weeks, but are now on the mend with antibiotics for their double ear infections, which I'm sure will also help their hacking coughs and runny noses.  And of course they have passed their germs right onto me, so I've been pretty much useless for the past 4 days.   Royal's been a big help, since he never gets sick, and has picked up pretty much all of the kid and food duties this weekend, while I lay around complaining about how I'm sure this is the end of me.  I might just start taking some hits off the kid's antibiotics.

But in order to continue to post on the things we do around here so years down the road I can remember, here are a few paintings I've done.

This one, I did at Paint the Towne

And these two I did in my basement, and I got in big trouble from Jayden because there wasn't a carnitore in either of them.  And he also pointed out that my "funny owls standing on each other's heads" were crooked.  So, they are....so, they are...

Willow Sings :: Twinkle, Twinkle

Willow has been singing this around the house very loudly for the past few days.  We were saying our prayers at bedtime last night and Jayden was having a hard time finishing his because Willow kept interrupting with a very loud, "TWINKLE! TWINKLE!...."

So, here is Willow's singing debut!

A Cute Apron

I made this apron for a friend's daughter who was getting an art center for her birthday.  Sadly, we didn't get to go to her birthday party because we all came down with a bad cold.

I'm really glad I have enough material left over to make one for Willow because I really like it!
