Fabulous Willow

Having Willow home ever afternoon provides such entertainment for me.  I am so going to miss her next year when she is in school full time.

Preview of teenage years?  When she is talking and talking and talking, but never looking at me anymore because she has her friends on her phone to pay attention to as well?
Sam becomes her live dress up doll and has recently been the recipient of her own clothes.  This day Sam was getting ready to go snowboarding.  :)  While Sam never looks very pleased, he is a good sport about it.  :)
This one has to be one of my all time favorites.  Sam was dressed up like Pinkie Pie from Equestria Girls, and became a member of Willow's rock band.
I get to hang out in Willow's room with her and she pretends to give me massages, tells me made up stories about people we know, and then laugh hysterically and leaves me in the room to take a nap.
She also has recently started to have an interest in doing her own hair and on the days I straighten my hair, I sit in a kids chair while she practices putting in pony tails and pretending to braid my hair that usually ends in a whole lot of knots.  The other morning, she snuck off and declared she has mastered pony tails and put them in her hair herself!
Willow's other front tooth has been majorly wiggly, but she has refused to let me pull it out.  It has literally been hanging crooked in her mouth in about a week.  Today she asked for a bowl of frozen blueberries and popped her own tooth out while biting right into one.  I am so glad that thing is out of her mouth!

Willow's Got a New Smile

Another of Willow's teeth has bit the dust.  She's got a lot more wiggly ones, so it won't be long before she has a whole new smile!

Another New Smile

Jayden is dropping teeth like flies!  He never just loses one here, one there, it's always a grip-load of teeth all at once.  He has had two wigglers for awhile, he lost one this weekend while out Christmas shopping with Royal.  The story goes something like, Jayden was biting onto the sleeve of Royal's sweatshirt, Royal ripped his sleeve out of Jayden's mouth, and in the process ripped his tooth out too!  Jayden was pumped about that, he called me right away on the phone.  It was awesome.   Since then he's been working on that other tooth.  Of course it happened the moment quiet rest time started today.  I sit down quietly at the table and take one deep breath and start preparing myself for the rest of the afternoon, and Jayden comes screaming out of his room, "I DID IT!  ITS OUT!  I TOLD YOU IT WOULD COME OUT WHEN ITS READY!"  Jayden is a big believer in letting his teeth fall out on their own, non of that violent rip them out before hand stuff.

So, I believe this was #7 and #8.

At the Dentist

Willow had her 1st dentist appointment this morning! She did great and was pretty excited about it!
I'm sure getting to watch Jayden the past couple of years helped too, she knew what was going to happen and was more than happy to be sitting in the chair and letting people count and clean her teeth.
She was also pretty pumped that she got a new pair of sunglasses!
No cavities for this girl!  20 healthy teeth and a new pink toothbrush to boot!
Jayden also has a mouth of healthy teeth!  He has 4 adult molars, 2 adult teeth, and 4 loose teeth!  He was super excited to be going to the dentist.  He loves his hygienist, he asked me after his appointment if he could invite her to his birthday party!  :)   On the way to the office he asked me, "Who cleans my teeth?"  I said, "I think her name is Diane."  He says, "Oh yeah!  Diane!  I love her!"  I really wasn't too sure that he would remember who she was, I mean it had been 6 months since we had been there!  But when we got called out of the waiting room by someone other than Diane,  Jayden looked at her and said, "Who are you????" in a voice that said there was no way he was going back there with her!  Luckily, Diane was waiting for him around the corner and Jayden went running to her and gave her a hug!  Guess he remembered her!  :)  And then he proceeded to talk and talk and talk her ear off.  I'm just not sure how she got all of his teeth cleaned.  :)  And now he is trying to figure out a way to go get his teeth cleaned again before our next appointment in 6 months.

And just like that...

...Jayden's lost another tooth!  I guess his baby teeth like birthdays, the first he lost the day after his birthday, his second he lost on Royal's birthday.  Guess we'll see how well my theory holds up when my birthday rolls around next month!
